Position Overview: We are looking for a Senior Sales Account Executive to support and expand current and new account sales volume of our occasion dress brand (daytime and evening collections). Adrianna Papell is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial Sr. Account Executive to join our Sales Team. The ideal candidate is a results driven and a seasoned salesperson, who has experience and intricate knowledge of women’s apparel and the dress industry. This candidate should also have proven account responsibility and well-established relationships with major department stores and key retailers at the DMM level to drive the Adrianna Papell brand and business to new heights.
Summary of Key Responsibilities.
- Responsible for management and growth of existing accounts -major Dept stores.
- Develop and implement business plans for retail accounts to achieve corporate sales goals.
- Partner with President of Sales and Planning Team to ensure seasonal plans meet the business objectives and needs for the accounts in collaboration with Buyer.
- Partner with Retailer and Planning Team on forecasting Open to Buy (OTB) components: sales, markdowns and mark ups (off-price & Basic Stock Replenishment [BSR]).
- Partner with Director of Planning to analyze business by door to maximize sales opportunities (weekly, monthly, seasonally, and annually). Analyze weekly sales/stock information from accounts and weekly retail performance by style/by door selling. Accumulate month end figures by door and analyze them to address issues/opportunities.
- Develop and execute in season action plans to improve “OTB forecast, reacting to business trends and resulting in improved natural margin performance.
- Minimize returns and liabilities for the Company through resolving oversold, confirmations, and monitoring store markdown cadence.
- Maintain order changes, substitutions, confirmations, and shipping status/order tracking for accounts.
- Collaborate with Director of Merchandising to ensure effective execution of retail merchandising and sales strategy by account.
- Manage integrated marketing plan (capital, advertising, collateral) by account.
- Partner with Marketing Team to coordinate special events by account/by door.

Experience & Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in wholesale apparel.
- Proven track record of business development with major retailers such as Von Maur and Dillards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Retail Merchandising. Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot, think, and act proactively and independently.
- Ability to anticipate retailers’ needs, be intuitive and develop options.
- Strong retail math and analytical skills to drive the brand and business to new heights.
- Strong analytical skills of sales information, trend data, and sell thru.
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel.
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP Systems; Blue Cherry Experience a plus
- Must be able to travel.
Salary: Annual starting alary is $130,000 incentive based commission plan.
