The role
You own recruiting for North America, hands-on, for hourly and salaried roles. You also set the hiring standard for Binks worldwide and guide our regional HR leaders in Europe and Asia-Pacific on how they use recruiting agencies. You are a working recruiter first: you source, call, assess and close. Success is measured in quality hires made fast, at lower cost.
What you will deliver
Fill the roles that drive the plan.
- Commercial Engine: technical sales specialists, account managers and national account managers who carry our Go-to-Market Model, Geographic Penetration and Strategic Pricing work into the field.
- New Product Development: engineers and technical talent for Smart Pumps, the Refinish Gun, Dispense Globalization and the Shoreview Lab.
- Operational Excellence: plant leaders, supervisors, skilled trades and production associates who deliver Lead Time Reduction, S&OP and Strategic Sourcing.
- Customer Experience: service, support and digital talent behind the Customer Portal.
Recruit like a search firm, from the inside.
- Map target companies, competitors, distributors and suppliers for each territory and skill set before a role is posted.
- Source directly and work referrals from our own teams. Job boards are one channel, not the strategy.
- Run high-volume hourly hiring for our plants alongside senior salaried searches, without either one slipping.
- Be the face of recruiting at Binks, meeting employees and managers where they work rather than from your office.
Set one hiring standard.
- Run every search on a written scorecard: the results the role must deliver and the behaviors it requires.
- Train hiring managers on structured, evidence-based interviews tied to that scorecard. Hold the line on quality when a manager wants to settle.
- Move fast. Agree the timeline with each hiring manager up front and hold both sides to it.
Bring agency spend under control.
- Decide when an agency is the right tool and when it is not. Manage the ones we keep to written scope, negotiated rates and service levels.
- Guide regional HR in EMEA and APAC on agency selection, terms and the shared interview standard.
- Keep one source of truth for every vendor agreement, rate and placement.
Run recruiting on data.
- Report monthly on time to slate, time to fill, source of hire, agency spend, hiring-manager satisfaction and one-year quality of hire.
- Use AI tools for sourcing, screening and outreach, in line with our AI Deployment initiative and policy.
- Own the applicant tracking workflow and keep it accurate.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- 7 years of full-cycle recruiting, with at least 3 in manufacturing, industrial products or a closely related sector.
- A track record in both hourly plant hiring and salaried professional searches, including technical sales and engineering.
- Agency or search-firm experience strongly preferred. You know how agencies work because you have done the work.
- Proven direct sourcing: LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, market mapping and cold outreach.
- Comfort coaching senior leaders and telling them what they do not want to hear, backed by data.
- Experience managing outside recruiting vendors to contract terms and results.
- Experience supporting hiring outside the U.S. is a plus. Spanish is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
How we will measure you
In your first year: most Americas roles filled without an agency, materially lower agency spend, slates in days rather than months, and hires who are still here and performing a year later.
