About the Role:

The Certified Surgical Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment, directly contributing to positive patient outcomes. The technician collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to anticipate the needs of each procedure and respond promptly to any changes during surgery. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Completion of a formal surgical technology training program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or equivalent.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and operating room protocols.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with healthcare facility regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hospital or surgical center environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and surgical documentation software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Assist surgical teams during operations by passing instruments and supplies, anticipating the needs of surgeons, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained, adhering to infection control standards and hospital policies.
• Monitor and manage surgical supplies inventory to guarantee availability and timely replenishment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient surgical environment, including post-operative cleanup and documentation.
