Group Home Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Group Home Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a residential care facility dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors requiring assisted living, or those needing specialized memory care such as Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the group home, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to care standards.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized care plans for residents, addressing their unique needs and preferences.
• Supervise staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and professional team.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources to support quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to assisted living, nursing home standards, dementia care, and long-term care facilities.
• Administer medications safely according to prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication records.
• Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and guardians to promote transparency and collaborative care planning.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, and community agencies to enhance resident well-being and access additional services as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group home management with a focus on senior or memory care residents.
• Strong background in managing long-term care environments with supervisory experience in healthcare or social services settings.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices, Alzheimer’s support strategies, and developing effective care plans.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with experience in budgeting, operations management, and compliance oversight.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures for vulnerable populations.
• Compassionate approach combined with strong communication skills to engage residents’ families and team members effectively.
