What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Company Post Closer position at Admiral Title Group?
We are a busy Title Company handling both residential and commercial real estate transactions seeking an experienced full-time Post Closing Specialist for our team in Pasadena, MD.
This is a full-time, on site position, and candidates must be willing and able to reliably commute daily with set hours of 9:30 - 5:30. Background check is required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Checking documents post-closing for signatures and completeness
-Daily bank reconciliation
-Positive Pay decisions
-Scanning and sending correct documents back to lender
-Receipt of funds and confirmation of funding approval
-Balancing disbursements to the CD/HUD
-Verbally confirming wire instructions
-Printing checks, initiating wires, preparing overnight labels
-Preparing documents for recording, including state forms (for example, MD intake sheets)
-E-Recording submission and payment (Simplifile)
-Preparing title insurance policies
-Remitting title insurance policies (including e-remitting)
-Comparing outstanding escrow account funds with the settlement statement to determine who receives refunds
-Requesting and remitting final water bills
-Staying up to date on cyber security and industry regulations
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 1 year in a title company post-closing department
-Capable of working in a fast-paced, demanding role
-Ability to learn quickly & work independently
-Excellent attention to detail
-Research & problem solving abilities
-Above-average time management and organizational skills
-Maryland Title Producer License, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
-Maryland Notary commission, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
Prior title company post-closing experience is required. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) and ability to learn new software and web portals quickly. Preference will be given to applicants with SoftPro, Rynoh, and Simplifile experience, and/or an active Maryland Producer License.
Actual compensation amount will be commensurate with experience.
