What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Closing Processor position at Crown Title Corporation?
We are a busy title insurance company seeking an experienced full-time Post Closing specialist for our team in Catonsville, MD. This is a full-time, in office position, and candidates must be willing and able to reliably commute daily. Background check is required.
Compensation range of $55,000 - $75,0000, commensurate with experience
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Checking documents post-closing for signatures and completeness
-Scanning and sending correct documents back to lender
-Receipt of funds and confirmation of funding approval
-Balancing disbursements to the CD/HUD
-Verbally confirming wire instructions
-Printing checks, initiating wires, preparing overnight labels
-Preparing documents for recording
-E-Recording (Simplifile and CSC; multi-state)
-Preparing title insurance policies
-Remitting title insurance policies (including e-remitting)
-Reviewing escrow accounts and determining who receives refunds
-Requesting and remitting final water bills
-Staying up to date on cyber security and industry regulations
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 1 year in a title company post-closing department
-Ability to learn quickly & work independently
-Excellent attention to detail
-Research & problem solving abilities
-Willingness to learn new and complex tasks
-Above-average time management and organizational skills
Prior title or lender post-closing experience experience is required. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) and ability to learn new software and web portals quickly. Preference will be given to applicants with SoftPro experience.
