What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Aide- Adjunct position at Adjunct - Team Georgia Careers?
Georgia Piedmont Technical College is currently seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Adjunct Instructor. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the field, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have a commitment to preparing students for successful careers as Certified Nursing Assistants.
Under general supervision of the Dean of Allied Health, the adjunct instructor will provide instruction and guidance to students in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, to include:
· Lecture and laboratory activities.
· Internet class oversight.
· Appropriate testing and grading procedures, according to approved syllabi.
· Maintenance of grades and other appropriate record-keeping.
· Student advising.
· Course maintenance and grading via Blackboard.
· Completion of associated documentation according to assigned deadlines.
The successful candidate must have the following current and valid credentials in good standing and must be maintained during employment:
• Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse (licensed in Georgia)
• Certified Train the Trainer (or must complete within 45 days of hire)
• American Heart CPR Instructor
High school diploma or GED is required. Three or more years, within the last five of full-time, in-field work experience as a LPN or RN. Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the faculty will be expected to teach.
Candidate must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Certified Nurse’s Assistant profession including the relationship to other professions in the medical field. Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications and people skills. A flexible work schedule is necessary, as classes may be taught during the day, evening, and Saturdays.
