Details/Scope of the project:
Platform design team. Support platform design and implementation across all applications within the Core Network Engineering Group.
Responsibilities:
- Platform Design & Architecture: Design and implement end-to-end IT infrastructure for container workloads, including Kubernetes(Rke2) clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and automated monitoring solutions.
- CI/CD & Automation: Build and maintain high-efficiency pipelines using ArgoCD, Gitlab, JFrog Artifactory.
- End-to-End Cluster Automation: Design and build fully automated Kubernetes cluster lifecycles using Ansible and Shell scripting. Ensure "one-touch" cluster deployments.
- AI-Driven Operations (AIOps): Architect and implement MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to allow Agentic AI to securely access, query, and manage Kubernetes resources.
- Advanced Observability: Design a high-availability monitoring stack using Prometheus and Thanos for long-term metric retention and global querying, visualized through complex Grafana dashboards.
- Security & Governance: Implement "Security as Code" using Open Policy Agent (OPA) for resource restrictions. Manage sensitive data by integrating HashiCorp Vault with Kubernetes(Rke2) via Secrets Store CSI Drivers. Network & Traffic Management: Configure complex networking policies (Ingress/Egress), custom CoreDNS setups, and implement Istio Service Mesh with Kiali for enhanced observability and traffic control.
- Storage & Persistence: Architect and manage persistent storage solutions using Portworx, ensuring high availability and data persistence for stateful applications.
- Migration & Modernization: Lead the migration of legacy monolithic applications (e.g., WebLogic) and Docker Swarm workloads into optimized Kubernetes(Rke2).

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $55.00 - $60.00 /hour. As a non-exempt position, this role will be eligible for overtime, at 1.5 times the base rate, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
