Adirondack Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a successful private practice with three locations in the Capital Region of NYS. Our skilled surgeons practice a full scope of procedures such as wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, and bone grafts. A successful Administrative Assistant is highly organized and attentive to practice needs. An outstanding assistant will have an excellent understanding of dental office and claims procedures and respectfully handle customer issues, inquiries, and complaints.
The Administrative Assistant is a key member of our support team and directly responsible for:
- Greeting patients and visitors in a secure setting
- Checking patients in & out for their scheduled appointment
- Verifying patient demographic and insurance information
- Collecting copays and reconciling accounts
Useful skills for this position include:
- Previous work in a medical or dental practice
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology – dental is a plus!
- Knowledge of identifying insurance and verifying benefits
- Software proficiency, specifically with Microsoft products, EMR and IM applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
