Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
Conduct surveillance and investigation of infections, outbreaks, and potential transmission events, and develop and implement corrective actions as necessary
Collaborate with healthcare staff, departments, and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and infection prevention
Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Conduct regular audits and assessments of infection prevention and control practices, and make recommendations for improvement
Maintain accurate records and reports of infection prevention and control activities, and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects related to infection prevention and control
Requirements:
Current RN license in the state of Michigan
Infection Control Certification or willingness to obtain
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
