The Property Development Manager is responsible for managing the planning, design, and execution of multi-family or Mixed-use residential development projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards while maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and financial modeling for multi-unit developments.
- Land Acquisition & Entitlements
- Identify and secure suitable sites for multi-unit projects.
- Manage zoning, permitting, and entitlement processes with local authorities.
- Design & Construction Oversight
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Review plans for compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability goals.
- Financial Management
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Ensure projects meet ROI targets and investor expectations.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Provide regular updates to investors, owners, and senior management.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Development, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred for senior roles.
- 7 years in residential property development or construction project management, with experience in multi-unit projects.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale residential developments successfully.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, or similar project management software.
- Strong understanding of multi-family construction processes, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership and team management, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
