Qualifications
- Active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in NE
- Current CNA certification in NE
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for administering medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, while ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately and safely per physician orders
- Observe residents for side effects or reactions and report changes promptly
- Document medication administration in accordance with facility policies
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Maintain clean, organized medication carts and storage areas
- Follow all state regulations and facility protocols
- Provide compassionate, respectful care to all residents
