Swiss Machinist

We are seeking a self-starting, reliable, experienced Swiss Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience and a strong desire to learn more about operating a variety of machines and tools, including CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce precision parts according to specifications. As a  Swiss Machinist, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing mechanical components used in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Swiss machines and CNC machines, manual lathes, and mills to machine parts to precise specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals to understand project requirements.
• Set up and adjust machines for optimal performance and quality.
• Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machines and equipment as needed.
• Ensure high-quality standards are met and maintain safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth production operations.
• Follow production schedules and work to meet deadlines.
• Document work progress and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Must be a self-starter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Swiss Machinist.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with Swiss, CNC, and manual machines.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, toolsets, and processes.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
• CNC programming experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Certification in machining or related fields.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Ability to work in a noisy, sometimes dusty, and fast-paced environment.
