Mechanical Technician

Seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our rapidly growing production facilities team. This individual will play a critical role and therefore must be reliable and dedicated to ensuring facility equipment stay in proper working condition.Summary/Objective:The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment to support the achievement of the Company’s business goals and objectives in accordance to compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulatory requirements.Essential Functions:Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of any production equipment during machine service.Execute maintenance duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance checks and servicing on equipment; develop and monitor maintenance schedules.Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and makes necessary repairs, adjustments and testing as needed.Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment for proper operation and availabilityApply a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Competencies:1. Initiative.Required Education and Experience:High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.At least 4 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
