Custodian

A Custodian position is open at Adelphoi’s Robert Ketterer Charter School working Monday-Friday, to provide general cleaning services to assigned buildings. The Custodian follows a checklist of required tasks and reports work that needs to be done outside expected routines. Adheres to regular schedules for certain services that may need daily, weekly, or monthly attention. Part time, after school hours.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain each room (restrooms, meeting rooms, classrooms, kitchen, etc.) according to the building cleaning plan.
• Mop all floors to meet the requirements for each designated area.
• Clean all fixtures, mirrors, walls, doors, water fountains, windows, and blinds in the scheduled manner that is expected.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas and remove spots from carpeting as needed.
• Remove all trash from the building and dispose of it in the appropriate dumpsters.
• Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked and the lights turned off.
• Disinfect all telephones, receivers, door hardware, handrails, and public horizontal services in the building.
• Ensure appropriate stock of toilet paper and paper towels in restrooms.
• Dust all horizontal surfaces (excluding teacher and office desks).
• Abide by and practice all health and safety procedures.
• Follow the instructions of the Lead Custodian or Supervisor.
  
  

Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED

Rate of Pay: $16/hr
