Requirements
- Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Wisconsin.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
- Experience in correctional, clinical, or community mental health settings preferred.
- Demonstrated crisis intervention and risk-assessment skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations for inmates.
- Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based therapies.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
- Respond to mental health crises, perform suicide risk assessments, and provide crisis stabilization.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, security, and psychiatric staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per WI DOC standards.
- Participate in case discussions, treatment meetings, and program development.
- Provide education on coping strategies, behavior management, and rehabilitation.
- Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality regulations, and facility safety protocols.
