- Leading and inspiring a team of Direct Support Professionals (Caregivers) who count on your guidance and support.
- Overseeing the daily operations of our group homes to make sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and according to plan.
- Coordinating services and activities for residents so their days are fulfilling and goal-focused.
- Rolling up your sleeves when needed — covering shifts, handling on-call responsibilities primarily evenings or weekends, or providing support for our clients.
- Implements required safety drills and completes safety checklist as required and insures staff’s training requirements are current. Ensures staff is scheduled for required trainings and re-certifications on a timely basis.
- Assists with schedules and facilitates monthly house staff meetings and other agency meetings as required.
- Building relationships with residents, their families, and your team to ensure everyone feels heard and supported.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three (3) years experience working with the disabled adult population or related human services field required.
- One (1) year supervisory experience required.
- Associates degree in a related human services field may substitute for working experience.
- Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are imperative in order to be successful in this role.
- Ability to promote teamwork and motivate individuals!
