POSITION SUMMARY:

Essential Job Functions
- Provide personal management for manufacturing teams.
- Ensure appropriate workload for full-time/supplemental employees to meet the needs of customers and manage/approve individual overtime.
- Ensure adequate training to minimize the risk of skill shortcomings in each department within the manufacturing team.
- Develop and implement processes and systems aimed at improving safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality of product flow in conjunction with applicable QMS and OSHA standards.
- Identification of upcoming and strategic technical skills and equipment needs and appropriate training or justification of new hires or new equipment to accommodate the needs.
- Assess and document the individual and team performance of all manufacturing team members, with appropriate action taken to reward or address behavior on a timely basis.
- Benchmark the capabilities of the staff and equipment against those of other corporations.
- Ensure appropriate operations support to individual projects through partnership with the project management, engineering, and quality teams.
- Adhere to manufacturing schedules to support customer requirements (cost, quality, and delivery) and identify resource deficiencies to Leadership.
- Provide operations input (technical and schedule) for proposals to customers.
- Interface with customers to understand requirements for all aspects of the product’s production.
- Report quality issues and provide solutions to management, the quality team, and customers as required.
- Meet or exceed project goals, including cost, schedule, and quality, with high customer satisfaction.
- Provide management leadership through clear written and oral communication internally and with the customer.
Operational Leadership
- Own execution of the monthly Plan of Record (POR) across CNC, Additive, and QC.
- Translate POR into weekly/daily execution plans inside ProShop.
- Manage throughput, WIP flow, equipment loading, and labor allocation.
- Lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings using ProShop real-time data.
- Ensure operational discipline around takt, cycle time, routing accuracy, and workflow.
- Ensure completion of work order updates, inspections, routings, and time tracking.
- Validate the accuracy of router steps, cycle times, and labor logs.
- Partner with Planning to correct data integrity issues.
- Ensure supervisors maintain real-time ProShop task discipline.
- Review monthly POR and align CNC/Additive/QC capacity.
- Break POR into weekly resource and machine plans.
- Track POR vs. Actual and escalate risks early.
- Support Planning in POR refinement with execution feedback.
- Develop CNC, Additive, and QC Managers through structured weekly coaching.
- Create accountability around KPI achievement and process discipline.
- Monitor skill matrices and support cross-training strategy.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 processes executed inside ProShop.
- Drive FPY improvements through structured root cause analysis.
- Ensure robust NCR/FAI execution and documentation.
- Lead CI initiatives tied to POR misses, bottlenecks, and scrap trends.
- Improve routing accuracy and cycle time predictability.
- Lead 5S sustainment and waste elimination efforts.

- Able to work cross-functionally with project managers, materials procurement, design, process development, and customers. Able to build and manage a team of diverse individuals at a variety of skill levels.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to operate manufacturing software applications and supporting applications to enhance productivity and quality of work. Possesses hands-on, self-starting attitude with strong interpersonal, integration, business and technical skills.

- Able to multitask and organize work to meet objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical discipline
- Five years of related manufacturing experience and/or training and/or management
- Industry-specific experience preferred
