Assessment
- Prepares comprehensive health histories and pertinent medical reports.
- Participates in joint evaluation process with other disciplines.
- Prepares emergency health care plans for all students who need them and train classroom teams on the implementation of such plans.
- Assess environmental needs of students and make recommendations for adaptations.
- Arranges, supervise, and follow up on all physical assessment programs.
- Performs ongoing assessment of student progress and changes in students' needs based on ongoing systematic data collection and analysis.

Program Planning
- Collaborates with other related service personnel to determine program needs.
- Plans for, administer and/or supervise the administration of any health-related procedures (i.e., medication distribution, gastrostomy tube care, etc.) necessary for a student to participate in the school program.
- Writes medical support plans for student with IEPs and/or 504s.
- Assists families and staff in securing available health & community resources.

Program Implementation
- Provides services to students in accordance with IEP requirements.
- Communicates to building personnel weekly schedule.
- Balances service delivery models between direct, indirect, and consultative.

- Documents progress, feedback, and recommendations for program changes.

- Participates in staffing and annual review as required by IEPs.
- Acts as a liaison between school, student, parent, physical and/or community agencies regarding the health status of students in the program.

- Expands professional knowledge and expertise by attending staff development activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

- Salary to be established by the Board of Education. Commensurate with experience...starting salary for licensed staff is $53,990.
