The administrative assistant is to assist the Director of Golf Course Operations by providing clerical and secretarial support and alleviate administrative duties for the Director of Golf Course Operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Keeps the Director of Golf Course Operations informed on all budgetary expenditures.
- Keeps all records pertaining to the function of the Golf Course Maintenance office.
- Answers phones, sort’s mail, type’s reports, letters memos, etc…as required.
- Organizes and directs the efficient operation of the Golf Maintenance office.
- Keeps all records and files up to date.
- Assists in procuring supplies and materials within budgetary limitations.
- Assists in keeping records of annual maintenance activities and costs.
- Assists in preparing the Golf Course Maintenance budget.
- Assists in the paperwork for interviewing hiring and discharge of employees.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must be able to multi-task and think quickly.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with many interruptions.
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, members and others.
- Needs to type 50 WPM.
- Needs a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Quicken software programs.
- Needs a working knowledge of the Internet and E mail.
- Ability to progress and learn in a timely manner.
Physical Requirements: :
- Ability to lift 10 pounds.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
- High School graduate.
- Previous accounting experience.
