Assignment Type: Full-time contract | Immediate start | 8 month assignment with potential to extend

Compensation: $45 – $60/hr

Position Overview

A growing multi-location group is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to support corporate accounting and month-end close. This role requires strong communication skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal for someone with hospitality, restaurant, or retail accounting experience who can build relationships with operations teams and ensure financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close (8–9 day cycle) including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Review reconciliations for cash, credit cards, gift cards, and payroll accounts.
• Reconcile approximately 40 GL accounts monthly, including tips and disbursement accounts.
• Partner with restaurant GMs to review P&Ls and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support audit requests and provide accurate schedules and documentation.
• Recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience; restaurant or multi-unit background strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel (lookups, pivots; macros a plus).
• Knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience with Restaurant365 or similar ERP preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on work style.
• Must be reliable, patient, and able to work onsite daily (start 8:00–8:30 AM).
