Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and external financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial and business results packages and communicate key financial information to company leadership.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment activity, and outstanding receivables.
- Partner closely with sales and other cross-functional teams to ensure invoice accuracy and resolve questions related to customer accounts and receivables.
- Oversee inventory accounting processes, including contracts, purchase orders, invoicing, cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and reporting.
- Coordinate with external financial auditors and tax professionals during year-end reporting and tax preparation.
- Manage and monitor accounts, ledgers, and financial reporting systems while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and licensing requirements.
- Maintain internal controls surrounding revenue, expenses, organizational budgets, and actual expenditures.
- Support accounting and reporting requirements related to financing arrangements, contracts, and other organizational activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, internal controls, and overall efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted accounting resource to leadership and cross-functional partners throughout the organization.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a small to mid-sized organization.
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting controls.
- Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing financial reporting and communicating results to company leadership.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment.
