Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 / Hourly

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our Revenue Cycle team. This role will support the current biller and assist with full-cycle medical billing and prior authorizations to ensure accurate and timely claim submission. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using Epic and thrives in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and track medical billing claims to commercial insurance plans and government payers
• Review patient records for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation prior to billing
• Perform full-cycle billing, including charge entry, claim submission, follow-up, and resolution
• Utilize ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and other coding systems to ensure accurate coding
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and research discrepancies with insurance carriers
• Assist with prior authorizations as needed
• Maintain well-organized billing records in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries
• Stay current on changes to billing regulations, payer requirements, and coding practices
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing (full cycle)
• Hands-on experience using Epic for billing and EHR
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9 required)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative Revenue Cycle team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DRG coding
• Healthcare office or clinical billing environment experience
  
  

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
