This is a highly visible technology leadership opportunity within a complex operation that brings together multiple internal teams, business partners, vendors, and facility stakeholders.

This role is best suited for an IT leader with a strong foundation in infrastructure, networks, servers, systems, and technology operations. The Director will lead both IT and technical services teams while serving as a key technology partner to senior leadership and other groups operating within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for the organization’s IT infrastructure and technology operations.
- Oversee enterprise networking, servers, systems, security, technical support, and related infrastructure.
- Lead a team of IT and technical professionals while developing strong processes, accountability, and service standards.
- Ensure technology systems remain reliable and available in an environment where downtime can significantly impact business and live-event operations.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology-response plans.
- Direct infrastructure upgrades, migrations, implementations, and other large technology initiatives.
- Support technology planning associated with facility transitions, expansions, relocations, or new construction.
- Manage third-party technology providers, contractors, consultants, and vendor relationships.
- Partner with internal departments and outside organizations that share or interact with the facility’s technology environment.
- Provide technical guidance and escalation support for complex infrastructure or operational issues.
- Assist with technology budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and long-term planning.
- Coordinate technology needs surrounding major events and other business-critical activities.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements that increase reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Progressive experience leading IT infrastructure, systems, or technology operations.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking and network infrastructure.
- Experience overseeing server environments, systems administration, and related infrastructure technologies.
- Previous experience managing technical employees and leading an IT function or team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Experience supporting complex, business-critical, or high-availability technology environments.
- Ability to lead major IT projects, system implementations, migrations, and infrastructure transitions.
- Strong vendor and contractor management experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and serve as an escalation point for technical teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with executives, technical employees, business leaders, vendors, and external partners.
- Experience with distributed antenna systems (DAS) is a plus.
- Experience within convention centers, hospitality, entertainment, large facilities, or similarly complex environments is beneficial but not required.
- Familiarity with audiovisual technology is helpful
- Experience supporting technology during live events or outside traditional business hours is preferred.
- Background managing technology associated with new construction, facility expansions, relocations, or major infrastructure upgrades is highly desirable.
- Strong project management and technology budgeting experience is preferred.
- This position will oversee approximately three IT professionals as well as an established AV/technical team.
- Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate. Candidates considering relocation should be genuinely committed to establishing themselves in the Oklahoma City area.
- The organization is actively interviewing and prepared to move forward once the right technology leader is identified.
- Final candidates will participate in an onsite interview process that includes meetings with senior leadership and technology stakeholders.
