Job Type: Full Time | Exempt

Compensation: $90K to $110 Bonus (dependent upon candidate experience)

Location: 100% onsite in Parsons, TN

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an Inventory Control / Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist to take ownership of inventory accuracy, materials management, and BOM maintenance. This role will serve as the connection point between purchasing, warehouse operations, engineering, and production to ensure materials are properly tracked, available, and ready to support manufacturing schedules.


The ideal candidate has experience managing inventory in a manufacturing environment, working with ERP systems, maintaining Bills of Materials, and improving inventory processes. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working closely with production teams, and ensuring operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory transactions, including material receipts, issues, adjustments, and transfers within the ERP system.
  • Maintain, audit, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufactured products.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to ensure BOM changes and material substitutions are accurately reflected.
  • Monitor raw material and component inventory levels to support production requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits while researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support production schedules by ensuring materials are available, staged, and ready for manufacturing teams.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain organized inventory storage areas to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
  • Analyze inventory trends and support reorder point, material planning, and process improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), inventory transactions, and material tracking.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with production, purchasing, and engineering teams.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • NetSuite ERP experience, including inventory management, BOM maintenance, purchase order receipts, and inventory adjustments.
  • Experience with MRP, production scheduling, or demand planning.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication materials, components, or similar manufacturing products.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
