Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join its team in Phoenix, AZ. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in insurance verification, strong technical skills, and experience working with multiple insurance payers. The right candidate will be comfortable managing daily productivity goals, communicating financial responsibilities to patients, and working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Description:

The Insurance Verification Specialist will coordinate insurance verification and patient financial communications for upcoming healthcare services. This individual will manage an assigned center, review insurance coverage, and contact patients promptly after appointments are scheduled to explain their anticipated financial responsibilities. The role begins with onsite training and offers the opportunity to transition to a remote schedule once the employee demonstrates proficiency and is approved by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process approximately 30 insurance verification cases per day for assigned healthcare locations.
• Confirm patient eligibility and benefits across government-sponsored and commercial insurance plans.
• Contact patients within 48 hours of scheduling to discuss estimated out-of-pocket expenses and financial obligations.
• Review coverage details and communicate relevant insurance information clearly and accurately.
• Navigate multiple software platforms to research benefits, document findings, and manage assigned cases.
• Maintain productivity standards while ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Prioritize daily assignments, resolve verification discrepancies, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Deliver professional, patient-focused service when discussing coverage and financial information.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of insurance verification experience; 2–5 years is preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospital, surgery center, or similar healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with both government and commercial payers.

Additional Details:

• Training: Approximately two weeks of initial training onsite, followed by continued onsite work as needed.
• Dress code: Business casual.
