General Manager

Job Title: General Manager

Location: Port Arthur, Texas

Pay: $145,000-$155,000

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and parental leave

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or related fields
• 5 years in a supervisory or management role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage pushback and build strong relationships across all levels
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise managers, supervisors, and other business leaders within operations.
• Oversee daily operational functions, focusing on service quality, efficiency, and contract compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for key clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
• Analyze and improve business processes, including scheduling, vehicle utilization, customer satisfaction, and departmental workflows.
• Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Communicate new policies and directives effectively to staff, maintaining morale.
• Collaborate with business development and executive leadership to set operational goals.
• Oversee local payroll processes in coordination with corporate payroll.
• Partner with Human Resources on staffing, onboarding, and employee relations.
