Cost Accounting Manager
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: M-F, 8AM-5PM CST
Salary Range: $125K-$140K BOE Bonus
Job Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost accounting activities and partner with operations to improve financial visibility across the business. This is a highly visible position offering the opportunity to influence decision-making, enhance reporting, and support continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead all cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation and product costing.
- Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory movements, and production costs.
- Partner with plant operations to improve cost controls and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Maintain standard costs and support periodic cost updates.
- Oversee inventory reconciliations, cycle count programs, and physical inventories.
- Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare management reporting and provide analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning activities.
- Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting processes.
- Partner with leadership on special projects and business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and month-end close.
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required.
- CPA or CMA is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
