Certified Payroll Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to support a certified payroll data migration initiative before transitioning into a long-term processing role. This position requires a strong command of prevailing wage compliance and the ability to manage complex, payroll operations across multiple states.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the migration and reconciliation of certified payroll data across multiple portals, including LCPTracker, Elation, and eMars
- Process weekly multi-state certified payroll for approximately 650 employees in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ensure full compliance with Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage reporting requirements across all applicable projects
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly certified payroll reports; identify and resolve rejected or flagged filings promptly
- Audit subcontractor certified payroll submissions to confirm accuracy and alignment with applicable wage determinations
- Handle payroll-related inquiries, wage verification requests, and documentation needed for tax reporting and external audits
- Support year-end closing activities, compliance filings, and audit preparation
- 2 years in certified payroll administration or prevailing wage compliance required
- Familiarity with certified payroll portals such as LCPTracker, Elation, or eMars required
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state prevailing wage laws, Davis-Bacon Act regulations, and apprenticeship requirements
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related strongly preferred
