Key Responsibilities:
- Source and assess vendors to secure quality materials and services aligned with business needs
- Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
- Collaborate with suppliers to communicate demand forecasts and optimize order quantities and packaging
- Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships while addressing performance concerns or discrepancies
- Track market conditions, pricing trends, and product availability to guide purchasing decisions
- Evaluate spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal guidelines and applicable regulations
- Partner with cross-functional teams including production, scheduling, and engineering to support timelines and operational needs
- Monitor supply availability and anticipate potential shortages or delays
- Follow up on open orders, provide delivery updates, and communicate changes to internal stakeholders as needed
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer or procurement-related role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail
