Job Title: Accountant

Location: South Bend, IN – 100% in office

Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00 / Per Hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Reconcile and review general ledger accounts and verify their accuracy.
• Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, schedules, and accounting reports.
• Assist with accounting-related issues and transactions requiring additional research and analysis.
• Research and respond to inquiries from federal and state examiners, as well as internal and external auditors.
• Evaluate procedures and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiency.
• Assume additional responsibilities and projects as delegated by the Accounting Supervisor.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent practical work experience in the accounting field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience with knowledge of financial services, electronic accounting systems, and practical accounting processes.
• Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and strong data entry skills.
