Phillips Academy seeks a highly organized and collaborative Advancement Initiatives Assistant to provide administrative and project support to the Advancement Initiatives and Development team.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement Initiatives, this position supports meetings, events, travel, donor communications, reporting, and stewardship activities. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with colleagues across the Academy.

This is a hybrid position- 3 days in the office and 2 remote days.

Essential Functions/Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and project support to senior leaders and the Advancement Initiatives and Development team.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel, and events, including preparation of materials and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate donor and prospect information and prepare reports and fundraising materials.
  • Support donor communications, stewardship, mailings, and volunteer engagement.
  • Serve as a front-facing representative of the team and respond to inquiries from donors, volunteers, and members of the Phillips Academy community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced professional or institutional setting.
  • Experience or interest in nonprofit fundraising preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong computer and database skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, collaborate effectively, and handle confidential information with professionalism.

Occasional evening and weekend work required.
