ACSD is hiring a part time Safety Team Coordinator..The Safety Team Coordinator will coordinate the school district’s safety team to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves coordinating safety protocols, training, efforts to ensure emergency preparedness, and serving as the primary liaison for non-emergency safety-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination:
•Coordinate the district’s safety team meetings and initiatives.
•Assist to develop, implement, and maintain district-wide safety policies and procedures.
Emergency Preparedness:
•Coordinate and track emergency response plans, including evacuation drills, lockdowns, and other safety protocols.
•Conduct regular reviews and updates of emergency response plans to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Training and Education:
•Organize safety training sessions for staff, students, and volunteers a suggested by the safety team.
Incident Management:
•Act as the point of contact for reviewing district or school response to safety incidents•Evaluate and document safety incidents to improve protocols and reduce future risks.
Communication:
•Communicate with school administrators, local law enforcement, and emergency services to foster collaboration and ensure preparedness as directed by the safety team.
Regulatory Compliance:
•Track applicable safety regulations and standards.
•Facilitate safety audits and inspections of school facilities.
Other Duties as Assigned:
•Perform additional tasks as required to support the district’s safety and security objectives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
•Experience with or interest in safety management, emergency planning, or a related area.
Skills and Competencies:
•Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
•Knowledge of emergency preparedness and safety protocols.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
•Proficiency in using standard office software and safety management tools.
Other Requirements:
•Availability for flexible part-time hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
•Must pass a background check.
