About the Role:

As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups through various mental health challenges by providing professional counseling and therapeutic interventions. Your work will focus on assessing clients' emotional and psychological needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating healing and growth through evidence-based therapeutic techniques. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of support for clients facing crises, behavioral health issues, and life transitions. The ultimate goal of this role is to empower clients to improve their mental well-being, develop coping strategies, and achieve healthier, more fulfilling lives. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of life for diverse populations across the United States, fostering resilience and emotional stability within the communities you serve.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse populations including children, adults, and families.
  • Certification or specialized training in group therapy, family therapy, or anger management.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
  • Additional credentials such as Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) or equivalent.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working in multicultural settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health concerns.
  • Perform thorough psychological assessments and develop tailored treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support clients experiencing acute emotional distress or behavioral health emergencies.
  • Facilitate anger management and life transition counseling to help clients develop effective coping mechanisms.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate care.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging research in counseling psychology and psychotherapy.

The required skills such as Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy are essential for conducting effective individual and group therapy sessions, enabling you to assess and address complex mental health issues. Group Therapy and Family Therapy skills allow you to facilitate dynamic sessions that promote healing within relational contexts. Mental Health Counseling and Crisis Intervention skills are critical for providing immediate support during emotional emergencies and guiding clients through behavioral health challenges. Anger Management and Life Transitions expertise help you equip clients with practical strategies to navigate difficult emotions and significant life changes. Together, these skills ensure you deliver comprehensive, empathetic, and evidence-based care that fosters long-term mental wellness.
