What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at ADAPT of Hudson Valley?
The scheduler is responsible for the coordination of all activities related to scheduling and coordinating direct support professionals in residential programs. The scheduler is to create weekly schedules and cover planned and unplanned shift vacancies arising in the residential programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Scheduler will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, maintain, and update master schedules for residential programs
- Oversight of residential program schedules shift vacancies, planned and unplanned absences/leaves and effectively manage overtime.
- Coordinate with On Call DSP Coordinator, Coordinator of Operations, Program Directors and Residence Managers to fill open needs.
- Performs other duties as requested.

- Ability to work flexible hours, rotating weekend on call responsibility
- Demonstrates sound judgment and the capacity to respond to unusual situations
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of residential programs
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Education/ Experience
- Experience with OPWDD programs a plus
- Scheduling experience preferred but not required
