Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a CPA with 5–10 years of public accounting experience who enjoys building client relationships, solving complex tax matters, and mentoring others. You'll work closely with partners and fellow team members while managing a variety of business and individual tax engagements from planning through completion.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
- Perform tax research and provide practical recommendations for clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships by serving as a trusted advisor.
- Review financial information and identify tax planning opportunities.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, notices, and planning strategies.
- Collaborate with partners to manage deadlines and workflow during busy season.
- Stay current on changing tax laws and accounting standards.
Required:
- 5–10 years of recent public accounting tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and nonprofit taxation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred:
- CPA license in good standing.
- Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and the CCH Suite.
- Experience with tax planning and consulting.
- Experience reviewing the work of staff accountants.
- Familiarity with tax workflow software and paperless processes.
