Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Construction Associate Attorney role based in Tampa, FL. The Construction Associate Attorney will support partners and counsel with construction-related matters, including litigation, contract drafting, licensing, and advising for Construction Industry professionals. Responsibilities include conducting drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, legal research, correspondence with clients and opposing counsel, taking depositions, and trial support.
Qualifications
- 1-4 years as Florida Licensed attorney.
- Experience with litigation, with a focus on construction or commercial litigation.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail in drafting contracts, pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Research skills, including Westlaw, case law, statutes, administrative regulations, public records, court dockets, DOAH records, and industry standards and codes relevant to construction law.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work in a collaborative environment.
