Driver - Eau Claire WI

 Location:  Eau Claire, WI                                                                 

Job Summary:

Safely operate commercial motor vehicles, forklifts, and other material handling and packaging equipment in accomplishing the preparation for shipping and delivery of printed materials.

Responsibilities:  

•  Load, unload and transport cargo to and from specified destinations.

• Verify load to ensure conformance with shipping documents and to see that load is secure and evenly distributed.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, refuel trucks and report any problems to the supervisor.

• Perform minor emergency repairs as necessary.

• Comply with all DOT standards and regulations, including hours of service logs, and driver’s vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).

• Assume responsibility for company credit cards and submit timely reports.

• When not transporting cargo, assist in pulling and preparing orders for shipment, unloading trucks, working in the mailroom, staging and stocking incoming materials.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the cab interior, cargo area, windows and mirrors of trucks.

• Maintain the cleanliness and order of your assigned 5S area.

• Submit all documentation to the Transportation Manager within the specified time.

• Make periodic overnight deliveries.

• Comply with periodic schedule rotation.

• Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.

Salary:

• $20-$22 per hour

Requirements:

• Valid Class C MN Driver’s license
