Car Wash Operator / Tunnel Operator

Adam's Royal Car Wash, a family-owned company serving Pennsylvania since 2014 with three locations, is hiring a full-time Car Wash Operator for our Gilbertsville location. This is our go-to, run-the-wash role: part equipment operator, part customer service pro. You'll keep the wash running end to end — earning base pay plus 100% of your tips, up to $30 an hour on busy days (most days land in the $20–$25 range; your service level drives your paycheck). Cash tips go home with you the same day. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with only occasional weekends.

What you'll do:

- Operate and monitor the wash tunnel and equipment throughout the day

- Run the point-of-sale system and pay stations; process transactions accurately

- Sell wash packages and memberships and answer customer questions

- Safely guide and load vehicles onto the conveyor

- Spot and report equipment issues before they become problems

- Keep the tunnel, equipment, and site clean and running smoothly

- On slow and inclement-weather days, pitch in on facility cleaning, deep-cleaning projects, and other site tasks — rain days are how we keep the wash looking its best

- Follow all safety and operating procedures

What we're looking for:

- Good computer skills — comfortable with point-of-sale systems and technology (we'll train you on ours)

- Excellent customer service skills — friendly, patient, and professional

- Able to stand and stay active for a full 8-hour shift

- Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and to bend, reach, and work in a wet environment

- Able to perform all essential physical functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation

- A dependable team player

- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

- Local candidates only: must live within approximately 10 miles of our Gilbertsville location

- Must be 18 years or older

- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle

- Bank account for direct deposit

- Must pass a criminal background check

- Professional, well-groomed appearance required; company grooming standards apply

- Car wash or equipment experience is a plus, but not required

What you get:

- Base pay 100% of your tips — earn up to $30/hour on busy days (most days $20–$25 with tips; varies with season and volume)
