Position summary:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse control processes in a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures the integrity of inventory systems, supports Just-In-Time (JIT) production requirements, and drives continuous improvement in inventory management

Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members;
- Provide training and performance management; and
- Lead through influence and cross-functional collaboration relative to peer and other business unit partners with impacts to inventory control.
- Maintain high inventory accuracy (target ≥ 98%) through leading strategy and execution of cycle counting and reconciliation processes;
- Develop and manage an ABC cycle count program;
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions; and
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance and traceability requirements.
- Ensure accurate ERP/MRP transactions;
- Maintain item master data integrity and inventory records; and
- Coordinate Bill of Material (BOM) changes and other administrative elements driving through Engineering Changes (EC’s), Program Launches, etc.
- Support and champion safe working conditions and equipment operations;
- Optimize layout and support 5S and workplace organization standards;
- Supports JIT delivery and minimizes premium freight, while applying varying levels of problem solving and PDCA applications to strive for its elimination;
- Lead/participate in Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and kaizen events;
- Ensure compliance with IATF, MMOG/LE, and all other customer requirements; and
- Support audits and maintain documentation.
- Track inventory accuracy, turns, shortages, and obsolete stock;
- Provide reporting and analysis to leadership in support of overall overhead control.
