What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at ADAC?
Position summary:
This position will be based in the metro Detroit area, working remotely and at our customer's throughout the week with occasional visits to our HQ in Grand Rapids, MI. The Account Executive will be responsible for the implementation of sales strategies. Direct interface (Primary contact) with the OEM customers including Purchasing, Engineering, Cost estimating, Tooling (estimating), Product engineering, SOA groups, PC (Program Chiefs), Design Studio and Contributions to highest levels of prospect and customer satisfaction. Will maintain profession interactive with all ADAC staff. Commercial, engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality and support staff.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Partner and collaborate with Business Development and Product Managers to ensure a robust sales strategy targeted at the highest levels with OEM’s and customers as necessary.
- Ensure full and complete understanding of ADAC’s cost models and remain up to date on pricing changes that impact the company, maintaining targeted EBIT and profit levels on al programs
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations with customers and always act in the best interest of ADAC and our strategic objectives.
- Remain up to date on product development opportunities and product strategy, recognizing where new products and opportunities exist within your customer base.
- Design, develop, and execute a robust sales strategy at assigned OEM’s and customers, in conjunction with the VP of Sales, that allows ADAC to have an audience at the highest levels with out customers as possible. Targeted business, sales calls and strategic meeting goals will be set quarterly and must be achieved.
- Respond to Customer request (CN’s, Open issues and miscellaneous issues), Quote submissions and subsequent quote reviews, (cost collaboration), with customer. Obtain authorizations, tooling, and piece price PO’s.
- Promote core products and develop customer relations with all departments within customer to secure new business focusing on strategic sales established by ADAC management as “must win” projects. (Develop strategy with ADAC team)
- Identify new business opportunities that fit within ADAC system competencies and involved Innovations group whenever possible.
- Develop technical and/or quotation reviews
- Respond to internal request from within ADAC organization
- Assist Global Sales Lead on Global Quote opportunities
Education & Experience:
- BS/BA - Engineering or Business Administration
- MBA/MAS - is preferred
- Minimum 5-8 years in supplier sales directly working with OEM’s or Tier 1’s, previous Ford experience required.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Meet weekly with customer buyer to close open commercial issues.
- Competitive analysis and reporting.
- Attend monthly customer/supplier Town Hall meetings and industry events.
- Ongoing training of product knowledge of core business and technical innovations within industry.
- Other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of customer systems, including their internal purchasing, engineering, appearance approval and shipping systems.
- Working knowledge of Covisint for CN’s, quotes and customer bulletins
- Working knowledge of internal systems including quote submission, and program cost tracking.
