Position Summary
The Administrative Intern will support the Self-Directed Assistant (SDA) by assisting with routine administrative duties related to Home-Based Services. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in administrative support, documentation, file maintenance, and program operations while helping ensure that client files, records, and communication processes remain organized, accurate, and up to date. The intern will work directly with the SDA and will assist only with administrative tasks as assigned. This role does not include providing direct services, making service decisions, or performing case management duties.

The Administrative Intern will not be responsible for making program decisions, completing assessments, approving services, providing direct client support, or giving guidance on service plans. All assigned work will be completed under the direction and supervision of the SDA or designated program leadership. The intern is expected to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy when handling client information
and agency records.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- The Administrative Intern may assist with duties including, but not limited to:
- Sending emails and assisting with routine written communication as directed by the SDA
- Making phone calls to clients, families, or providers to request file updates or missing documentation
- Assisting with client file audits to ensure required documents are present and organized
- Filing, scanning, uploading, and organizing documents
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, tracking logs, and administrative reports
- Assisting with audit preparation by organizing records and identifying missing items
- Preparing folders, packets, forms, and other administrative materials
- Updating contact lists, document trackers, and file checklists
- Helping maintain orderly electronic and physical filing systems
- Assisting with follow-up reminders related to documentation needs
- Supporting the SDA with other administrative duties as assigned
