Applications are now being accepted for a Project Manager with Cost Estimating focus in the Projects Department at Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting wage of $69,492 to $84,448, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager with Cost Estimating Focus is responsible for coordinating the establishment, maintenance, and operation of the District cost estimating data base including bid averages and industry trends. This will include determining and updating cost estimating procedures for a variety of estimate types such as conceptual, design, right-of-way and construction, the set up and maintenance of the cost estimating software.
- The nature of the work performed requires establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with Federal, State, and local agency representatives, the general public, and other District employees.
Qualifications:
- Must have considerable knowledge of general engineering principles and practices and cost estimating practices and procedures.
- Must have a good knowledge of District programs and project parameters, including the budgetary and programming processes; Project Management principles, practices, and methods; scheduling methods.
- Must have the ability to prepare and compile involved reports in a simple and concise manner as well as compile information obtained from various sources for comparative analysis.
- Must have the ability to use computers and related business software, with considerable experience and knowledge of Excel.
- Experience in cost estimating in conjunction with construction related projects is preferred.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
