What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Survey Technician position at Ada County Highway District?
Ada County Highway District is seeking a highly skilled Survey Technician to join our team in the Engineering Division. As a key member of our survey crew, you will perform entry-level technical work in field surveying, assisting in property boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and cross sectioning.
The ideal candidate should have a basic knowledge of land survey techniques, including searching for property pins, survey monuments, setting appraisal stakes and lath for use in right of way acquisitions, and setting stakes and lath for construction of highway/road projects.
- Lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 100 lbs.
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Follow written and verbal directions
- Work outdoors under adverse conditions
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.90 - $21.70 per hour, along with an excellent benefit package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid vacation, holidays, and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).
