General Equipment Operator - Grade Crew
Ada County Highway District is now accepting applications for a General Equipment Operator on the Cloverdale Grade Crew in our Maintenance division. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
The starting wage is $22.80 - $26.30 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision of the Crew Chief, operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment including dump trucks, rollers, loaders, air compressors, jackhammers, and winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing roads.
- Repair and replace asphalt on roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder barrow ditch repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance tasks.
- Respond to winter weather conditions and emergencies, working outside normal work hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- You must be able to obtain an Idaho Class A CDL license within the first 6 months of employment with ACHD's assistance.
- Experience driving/operating dump trucks and loaders is preferred.
- Knowledge of asphalt placement and compaction, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance techniques is also preferred.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
