The Physical Security Specialist serves as a critical safeguard for organizational assets, ensuring the protection of people, property, and facilities. This high-visibility role requires a refined combination of analytical awareness, risk assessment expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to successfully manage a dynamic and security-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and external security partners to ensure seamless protection of facilities and personnel.
- Meticulously monitor and evaluate security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm networks, ensuring full adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments and execute security protocols with precision, including incident response and emergency procedures.
- Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities proactively to prevent breaches, safety risks, or unauthorized access.
- This is a full-time, office-based position in a modern, cozy environment in our Troy, MI office.
- Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal);
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk identification;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
- A calm, professional demeanor with the ability to respond to high-pressure situations;
- Associate's degree (required) or 0–2 years of professional experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
