We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and durability
- Execute a variety of painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray methods), and structural coating applications
- Interpret technical drawings, color schemes, and project specifications accurately to deliver precise results
- Use hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, and scaffolding or ladders safely to access hard-to-reach areas on construction sites or renovation projects
- Perform surface preparation tasks such as sanding, patching holes, and applying stucco or other finishes as needed for renovation or maintenance projects
- Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Assist with fixture installation and minor handyman tasks related to remodeling or ongoing maintenance projects
- Conduct quality checks through visual color comparison and ensure the finished work meets client expectations and industry standards
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on residential or commercial painting projects
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting jobs is a plus
- Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation, coating application, and industrial painting techniques
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for accurate project execution
- Hands-on experience with various hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), and safety equipment
- Ability to work at heights using ladders safely and efficiently in diverse environments
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities accurately
- Previous handyman or remodeling experience is advantageous but not mandatory
