Plastics Manufacturing Maintenance Manager
Lead plant maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support production goals. Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance programs, manage maintenance staff, and drive continuous improvement across all assets.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians; manage schedules and performance.
· Develop and execute preventive/predictive maintenance strategies.
· Improve equipment reliability through RCA, RCM, and other reliability tools.
· Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA/NFPA and maintain safety-centered practices.
· Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
· 5–10 years in maintenance or reliability engineering; 3–5 years in leadership.
· Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation, mechanical/electrical systems.
· Experience with RCA, PdM, Lean/Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Plastics equipment maintenance: Extrusion & Thermoforming highly desired
Success Measures:
· Improved equipment uptime/OEE
· Reduced unplanned downtime
· Maintenance cost control and process improvements
