CNC Machinist II

Summary:
Responsible for producing machined parts by loading and unloading raw material into machines, setting up CNC Mills and/or Lathes, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Machine parts to specifications using CNC machines.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of math and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments onto machines.
- Setting up machines, pick tooling.
- Adjust and enter edits to programs by entering instructions.
- Load and unload machines with raw material.
- Deburr and examine parts for quality checks.
- Measure and test units using precision instruments.
- Monitor the machine during the machining process
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Complete production and quality logs.
Additional responsibilities:
- Perform back up for warehouse or special project needs.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
- Basic reading and writing of English and some advanced mathematical skills.
- High School Diploma
- Basic computer skills
- Advanced blueprint reading (incl. GDIT)
- Strong attention to detail
4. Three to five years CNC machining experience.
Salary : $2,528 - $25,000
