What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Teacher position at Active Concepts. LLC?
Full time childcare teaching position available in a corporate environment for children ages 1 years old.
- Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
- Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children
- Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations established by the state of NC
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- NC Early Childhood Credential (EDU 119) preferred, but not required
- Ability to pass a state background check
- Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers and parents or guardians
- Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages
- Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time
- Physical abilities– Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 25-40lbs daily
- Certificate in first aid and CPR preferred, but not required
